2015 was a terrific year for THE ‘SCOPE! We showed you some of the science behind The Martian, The Avengers, Star Wars, and
the Last Man On Earth. We tackled monsters as well as superheroes. We had a
series on Star Trek tech that is becoming reality. We discussed the science of
love, pop music, vaccination, near death experiences, and – of course –
competitive eating. We brought you up to speed on allergies, CRISPR, cancer, the
microbiome, giant viruses, a beetle that eats nothing but coffee, and much
more. We amassed over 107,000 pageviews and look forward to reaching more eyes
in 2016. Thanks to all of our hard-working contributors: Mark Lasbury, Julia van Rensburg, Sarah Deffit,
